Harrahs Hotel & Casino
Harrah's Laughlin Hotel &
Casino, at the southern end of the Laughlin "Strip", is the second largest hotel/casino in Laughlin
and is among the most elegant of all Laughlin resorts. Read on to see what awaits you at Harrahs
Laughlin...

Harrahs Laughlin sits atop the hill at
the southern end of the Laughlin "Strip". While not a convenient walk from the other Laughlin casinos on the
Strip, it is worth spending time here if you have a vehicle or hop on a water
taxi.
I stayed here a few years ago and
had no complaints about my room or stay. Some of the reviews have stated Harrah's casino slot
machines are "tight". I have not found that to be the case. Without spending alot of money in the
machines, I have been able to get some nice payoffs (especially on the Video Poker machines in the
north "wing".
Harrah's Laughlin Hotel & Casino was
opened in 1988 and currently offers over 1500 rooms in their north (family) and central (adult only) towers plus a
55,000 square foot casino (with smoking and non-smoking sections). Harrah's Laughlin is not on the Riverwalk
(that starts at the River Palms -the next hotel/casino down the hill) but they do offer a nice
white sand beach for their guests and two outdoor swimming pools. The gift shop is the nicest by far of any
you will find in Laughlin.
There's a good selection of food
options at Harrah's Laughlin. Fast food choices (in case you lost too much money gambling) include
McDonalds, Cinnabon, Starbucks and Baskin-Robbins. Traditional dining consists of Baja Blue Restaurant &
Cantina, the Beach Cafe, Fresh Market Square Buffet and the Range Steakhouse.
You will find entertainment at Harrah's 300 seat Rio Vista Outdoor
Amphitheater during the spring and fall seasons. It is here that Harrah's hosts their concert series of
musical entertainers. The Fiesta Showroom features such talent as stand-up comedians, grand
illusionists and more.
I like spending time at Harrah's
Laughlin. They have a good selection of slots and table games. The surroundings are pleasant. The only
drawback is the walking distance to the other casinos (for those without a car). To walk from Harrah's
complex to Casino Drive (the "Strip"), you can either walk a winding driveway (not recommended - too
dangerous) or climb about 90 steep steps. You will want to take that into consideration if you stay here,
are without a car and plan on visiting other casinos located on the Riverwalk.
If hanging out at a beach is a priority during your visit to
Laughlin, Harrahs offers a nice beach scene plus a decent pool area. More information on these is
pictured below which shows the: 1) Lower level pool area; and, 2) Pictures of the extended beach
area. To see a larger, more detailed display, click on any picture.
