Golden Nugget Hotel and Casino

The Golden Nugget Laughlin is the smallest hotel/casino in Laughlin but one of the most popular - getting great reviews by its guests. Read on to see why I highly recommend spending time here...

The Golden Nugget Laughlin is where I have stayed my last few trips to Laughlin and will most likely stay on my next trip also. It is on the Laughlin Riverwalk, is within walking distance of the other hotels/casinos on the Riverwalk, has nice rooms, great restaurants and a wide selection of slot machines where I have had luck.

The Golden Nugget Hotel & Casino Laughlin had its beginnings as the Nevada Club in 1984. It is the smallest of Laughlin's hotels/casinos at 300 rooms. The guest rooms were remodeled (for the second time) in 2006. You will not find high towers at the Golden Nugget Laughlin, it only has four stories. But I prefer that to being stuck on a high floor with elevators that are less than adquate for the amount of traffic - something you might want to consider before you make reservations.

As far as dining, you have a choice of everything from deli sandwiches to fine steaks. The Deli is great for lunchtime sandwiches or late night snacks. My favorite for dinner is Joe's Crab Shack with seating either inside or outside. There is also Saltgrass Steakhouse and a Starbucks on site.

Tarzans - the sports bar is located just inside the main entrance. I go there in the morning to check my E-mails because they have free (unadvertised) Wi-Fi. It is nice and quiet in the morning but things really pick up at night. Along with multiple screens tuned into various sporting events throughout the day, they have musical entertainment on certain nights and seem to get nice crowds for that.

The Golden Nugget Laughlin charged me less than $25 for my room on a week night and it was very pleasant. Better than others that I or friends have stayed at in Laughlin. Be aware the pets are not allowed so if you bring a pet, you will have to find somewhere else to stay.
