Aquarius Casino Resort

The Aquarius Casino Resort (formerly the Flamingo Laughlin Hotel and Casino) has undergone major renovations making it one of the premier Laughlin resorts. Read on to see why you might want to take in what the Aquarius Laughlin has to offer...

The Aquarius Casino Resort is on the Laughlin Riverwalk between the Riverside and Edgewater. I stayed at the Aquarius in 2006, shortly after its conversion from the Flamingo Laughlin Hotel & Casino. Since then, the Aquarius Laughlin has undergone approximately $46,000,000 in upgrades to it's casino and hotel. It rates among the best that Laughlin has to offer.

The Aquarius casino area is huge with over 1300 slot and video poker machines, a wide varity of table games (but not my favorite - Carribean Stud) and an impressive (over 90 screens) race and sports book. I like spending time  at this casino. On my last trip, my bad luck turned around at the Aquarius on a Secrets of Stonehenge for a nice payoff.

Here is a gambling strategy that I had some luck with on the $1.00 slots at the Aquarius: Starting with a $100.00 dollar bill, I located a $1.00 slot machine with a maximum bet of $2.00. I played the machine five times. If I didn't win anything after five tries, I cashed out with $90.00 and located another $1.00 machine with a $2.00 max bet but at a different bank (or cluster) of machines. If five tries at the second machine produced no winners, I would move on to a third. By betting the max in a $1.00 slot machine, I felt I was increasing my odds of winning and it seemed to work. 

You will find a wide variety of eating choices at the Aquarius Casino Resort. Everything from fast food (Subway, Burger King, Panda Express) to the Cafe Aquarius to the Outback Steakhouse and upscale Vineyard Ristorante. Like steak? I enjoyed some of the best steak ever at their Outback Steakhouse.

There are other things to enjoy at the Aquarius Laughlin if you aren't staying in one of their 1800+ rooms. Watching the river traffic while enjoying a drink at the Riverwalk Sports Bar, checking E-mails at Starbucks - a free wireless hotspot, checking out the entertainment at the Aquarius Pavillion and more. It's hard not to have a good time at the Aquarius Casino Resort.
